Els poltergeists són un tipus d'esperit que busquen el reconeixement i l'atenció, i farà qualsevol cosa per rebrer-la. Tanmateix, un Poltergeist no és un esperit humà, és un ésser de tots els seus, per tant cremar les seves restes és ineficaç (i impossible), però, en el diari de John Winchester, afirma que poltergeists poden ser destruïts de la mateixa manera que un caçador normal seria tractar amb qualsevol altre fantasma, sal i cremar les restes, això va ser més tard demostrat, per Sam i Dean (i Gary) en el tracte amb "Maggie Briggs". Això significaria Poltergeist alguna vegada van ser humans com fantasmes estaven també, una possible explicació a aquesta paradoxa, és que els poltergeists són éssers separats, però els esperits humans poden arribar a ser poltergeists. Tota la seva biologia / maquillatge abasta únicament rebre l'atenció, sempre són invisibiles, i no semblen capaços de fer-se visibles.

A vegades es atreta pels llocs, on els éssers de gran mal (com poderosos dimonis) caminaven.

Poltergeists are a type of spirit that seek recognition and attention, and will do anything to receive it. However, a Poltergeist is not a human spirit, it's a being all of its own, therefore burning their remains is ineffective (and impossible) however, in John Winchester's journal, he claims that poltergeists can be destroyed the same way a normal hunter would deal with any other ghost, salting and buring the remains, this was later proven, by Sam and Dean (and Gary) while dealing with Maggie Briggs. This would mean Poltergeist were once human like ghosts were too, a possible explination to this paradox, is that Poltergeists are seperate beings, but human spirits can become Poltergeists. Their whole biology/make-up solely encompasses receiving attention, they are always invisibile, and do not appear able to become visible.

When in a state of distress, they can also be quite powerful, one was able to perform several telekinetic attacks, in different areas of the house it was haunting at the several times, and when consentrated are very powerful telekinetics (about higher demon powerful), able to throw grown men around like rag dolls. They are sometimes atracted to places, where beings of great evil (such as powerful demons) walked. 


Debilitats / Weaknesses

• Una barreja d'arrel de angèlica, oli de Van Van, terra de creuement de camind i algunes altres probabilitats i acaba - És possible usar això per destruir un Poltergeist, si es col · loca, en tots els pisos, al nord, sud, est i oest cantonades de la construcció del seu inquietant, però als poltergeists forts això podria ferir. 
• Sal i cremar les restes- John Winchester va deixar clar que poltergeists poden ser assassinats si vostè troba les seves restes i sal i cremar-los. 
• Fantastmes - Si un altre fantasma combat el Poltergeist llavors destruirà a tots dos. 
• Sal - Igual que tots els fantasmes, la sal repel · leix i debilita els poltergeists. 
• Ferro - És possible que el ferro pot repel · lir i debilitar els poltergeists perque són un tipus de fantasma, però no ha estat provat en el programa encara.

• A mixture of Angelica Root, Van Van oil, Crossroad dirt and a few other odds and ends - Its possible to use this to destroy a Poltergeist, if it is placed, in all the floors, of the north, south, east and west corners of the building its haunting, but to stronger Poltergeists this might just wound them.
• Salting and Buring - John Winchester made it clear that poltergeists can be killed if you find it's remains and you salt and burn them. 
• Ghosts - If another ghost fights the Poltergeist then it will destroy both of them.
• Salt - Like all Ghosts, Salt repels and weaknes Poltergeists. 
• Iron - It's possible that iron can repel and weakne poltergeists becuase they are a type of ghost, but it hasn't been tested on the show yet.
