Els dracs són una raça molt rara de les criatures sobrenaturals que no han estat caçats o fins i tot vist per més de 700 anys. De fet, són tan rars que els caçadors més veterans (com Bobby) rebutgen la seva existència com a pura ficció. Només uns pocs saben del contrari, i tot i així, ni tan sols ells creuen que els dracs s'havien extingit. Són similars als dracs tradicionals de la tradició, però, mentre que en espais tancats, apareixen més com criatures humanoides, més que a les bèsties alades que es mostren en l'art tradicional. Hi ha descripcions d'ells apareixen com a criatures ratpenat gegant quan en les seves veritables formes.
Motius dels dracs eren per obrir el purgatori a la llibertat d'Eva, Mare de Tots. Per a això van segrestar joves dones verges per poder sacrificar un d'ells per esdevenir el vaixell per Eva.
Característiques
Dracs se senten atrets per l'or i que tradicionalment viuen en coves, però fan cases o amagatalls a les clavegueres quan no hi ha coves per amagar in A més, sembla que els dracs també són atrets a les verges humans femenins.
Aparença física
Dracs poden prendre forma humana i poden disfressar com un ésser humà. En la seva veritable forma, els dracs tenen grans ales que utilitzen per volar, es poden amagar les seves ales quan disfressat d'home. En volar les ales fan un gran so de aleteig de cuir. Dracs també tenen arpes grans i ulls de serp. Quan Dean va tallar el braç d'un drac, que va mostrar un patró similar a escates, el que implica que tenen escales al seu veritable forma. Dracs tenen també sang de color vermell fosc.
En els seus veritables dracs formen són bastant grans. Un testimoni que els va veure els van descriure com "enorme", es mostra la distància entre les urpes d'un dels seus peus, per la ferida de la víctima, en al voltant de dos a tres polzades, donant a entendre que era gegantesc. La seva envergadura és suficient per provocar vents bastant forts agitant ells. Malgrat la seva mida, es poden moure amb increïble velocitat, l'agilitat i el sigil a través de l'aire.
Poders i habilitats
Els dracs són monstres molt poderosos, i tenen una sèrie d'habilitats que els fan criatures difícils de matar.
- Força Supernatural - Ells posseeixen força física increïble. Dracs pot fàcilment dominar als humans a través de la força física pura. Ells estan entre els més forts dels monstres, capaços de trencar ossos casualment, fer una home adult com una nina, i aixecar fàcilment i portar a un home adult, de més de set quilòmetres.
- Shapeshifting - Poden prendre una forma humana completa per canviar de forma, encara que al utilitzar els seus poders, part de les seves veritables formes es fan visibles, especialment la seva serp com ulls.
- Thermokinesis (anomenat "Dragon Claw") - També es poden generar una calor intensa de les mans. Aquestes temperatures són prou calenta com per fondre metalls com el ferro, o fins i tot cremar éssers humans amb el seu toc. Aquesta capacitat s'anomena "Dragon Claw".
- Vol - dracs tenen ales de ratpenat que utilitzen per volar i capturar les seves preses. Són volants molt capaços, capaç de moure amb gran velocitat i maniobrabilitat, i tot i així, mostren cautela malgrat la seva gran grandària.
- Invulnerabilitat - Els dracs són prop completament invulnerable, l'única manera de saber de danyar o matar ningú amb una espasa forjada en la sang de dracs. Significatiu altra força, com en repetides ocasions de ser colpejat amb una palanca de ferro, pot atordir a ells, però no causa dany permanent.
- Súper Velocitat - dracs pugui moure a una velocitat increïble, capaç d'aparèixer de sobte, gairebé com teletransportar, especialment durant el vol.
- Súper Stamina - Dragons no es cansen fàcilment, es pot volar milles a velocitats increïbles, i passar per un trauma sever i sense fatiga.
- Súper Sentits - capaç de saber si una persona és verge o no, simplement acostant.
L'única manera de matar un drac és una espasa forjada amb la sang d'un drac. Encara que només hi ha 5 o 6 d'aquestes espases especials existents segons el declarat pel Dr Visyak.
Es pot suposar que el Colt es pot utilitzar per matar-los, ja que mata gairebé totes les criatures que hi ha.
Hi ha altres mètodes, desconeguts per fer-los mal, en cas contrari, seria impossible controlar la seva sang.
Dragons are a very rare race of supernatural creatures that have not been hunted or even seen for over 700 years. In fact, they are so rare that most veteran Hunters (like Bobby) dismiss their existence as purely fictional. Only a select few know otherwise, and even then, even they believe Dragons were extinct. They are similar to the traditional dragons in lore, but, whilst in confined spaces, they appear more like humanoid creatures rather than the winged beasts shown in traditional art. There are descriptions of them appearing as giant bat-like creatures when in their true forms.
The Dragons' motives were to open Purgatory to free Eve, Mother of All. To do this they abducted young female virgins so they could sacrifice one of them to become the vessel for Eve.
Characteristics
Dragons are attracted to gold and they traditionally live in caves, but they make homes or hideouts in sewers when there are no caves to hide in. In addition, it seems that dragons also are attracted to female human virgins.
Physical Appearance
Dragons can take human form and can disguise themselves as a human. In their true form, dragons have large wings that they use to fly, they can hide their wings when disguised as humans. When flying their wings make a great leathery fluttering sound. Dragons also have large talons and snake-like eyes. When Dean sliced a dragon's arm, it showed a scale-like pattern,implying that they have scales in their true form. Dragons also have dark red blood.
In their true form dragons are quite large. One witness who saw them described them as "huge", the distance between the claws on one of their feet was shown, by the victim's wound, to be about two to three inches, thus implying it to be gigantic. Its wingspan is enough to cause reasonably strong winds by flapping them. Despite their size, they can move with incredible speed, agility and stealth through the air.
Powers and Abilities
- Supernatural strength - They possess incredible physical strength. Dragons can easily overpower humans through sheer physical force. They are amongst the strongest of monsters, able to casually break bones, toss a grown man like a doll, and easily lift and carry a grown man, for over seven miles.
- Shapeshifting - They can take a complete human form by shapeshifting, although when using their powers, part of their true forms become visible, specifically their snake like eyes.
- Thermokinesis (named "Dragon Claw") - They can also generate intense heat from their hands. These temperatures are hot enough to melt metals like iron, or even incinerate humans with their touch. This ability is called the "Dragon Claw".
- Flight - Dragons have bat-like wings which they use to fly and capture prey. They are incredibly capable flyers, able to move with great speed and maneuverability, and still demonstrate stealth despite their great size.
- Invulnerability - Dragons are near completely invulnerable; the only know way to harm or kill one is with a sword forged in Dragons blood. Significant other force, such as repeatedly being hit with a iron crowbar, can daze them, but causes no permanent damage.
- Super speed - Dragons can move with incredible speed, able to suddenly appear, almost like teleporting, especially when flying.
- Super Stamina - Dragons don't tire easily, they can fly miles at incredible speeds, and go through severe trauma without fatigue.
- Super Senses - Able to tell if a person is a virgin or not simply by getting close.
The only way to kill a dragon is with a sword forged with the blood of a dragon. Although there are only 5 or 6 of these special swords in existence as stated by Dr. Visyak.
It can be assumed that the Colt can be used to kill them, as it will kill almost any creature in existence.
There are other, unknown methods to harm them, otherwise it would be impossible to get hold of their blood.
