Dama de Blanc / Woman in White

Una dona de blanc és un tipus de fantasma o esperit, un ésser sobrenatural, que segresta normalment als homes i fins i tot nens, després de patir de problemes d'amor i cometen suïcidi en la seva vida. Han existit durant segles, i han aparegut a Hawaii, Mèxic i Estats Units, també.

A Woman in White is a type of ghost or spirit, a supernatural creature, that commonly kidnaps men or even children, after suffering from love issues and comitting suicide when alive. They have existed for centuries, and have appeared in Hawaii, Mexico, and the United States, as well.  

Característiques / characteristics
Són fantasmes de dones boniques mortes, que porten vestits blancs i segresten persones amb les que interactuen. Quan estaven vius, totes elles tenien fills i, en cas de patir d'una alienació temporal després de ser rebutjades o ser enganyades pels homes que estimaven, els ofegaven. A continuació, se suïciden i, posteriorment, han de passar la resta de l'eternitat a la terra a la recerca dels seus fills, el plor i el sofriment, fins que els troben.
Vaguen en els rius i camins, i quan troben a l'home que enganya, els maten i els homes mai es tornen a veure. S'enfaden quan algú no vol obeir-les, així que ataquen i apareixen amb la seva veritable forma.
 
They are ghosts of deceased beautiful women, who wear white dresses and kidnap people they interact with. When they were alive, they all had children and, when they suffered from a temporal alienation after being rejected or being deceived by the men they loved, they drowned them. Then, they commit suicide and, subsequently, they must spend the rest of the eternity on Earth looking for their children, crying and suffering, until they find them.They roam in rivers and roads, and when they find n man who cheats, they kill them and the men are never seen again. They get angry when someone does not want to obey them, so they attack them while taking their true form.  

Aparença / Appearance
Tot i que pot semblar una dona bella normal amb un vestit blanc, tenen una altra forma que amaguen. La seva veritable forma s'assembla a un cadàver, pell grisa, ulls enfonsats i sense llavis. 

Even though they can look as normal and beautiful woman dressed in white dressed, they have another form they hide. Their true form bears resemblance to a corpse, grey skin, sunken eyes and no lips.

Habilitats conegudes / Known abilities
Com fantasmes, posseeixen una major força i velocitat (sobrepasen la d'un ésser humà), invisibilitat i telequinèsis, i altres capacitats - com ara ser capaç de teletransportar o manipular l'àrea que els envolta (incloent llums parpellejants).

As ghosts, they possess enhanced strenght and speed (surpasing that of a human), invisibility and telekinesis, and other abilities--such as being able to teleport or manipulate the area that surrounds them (including flickering lights).  

Debilitats / Weaknesses
Com qualsevol altre fantasma, són dèbils al ferro (de ser colpejat per una arma o cosa feta de ferro pot fer-los desaparèixer breument), i la sal (que es pot utilitzar per evitar que entrin als cercles de protecció i desaparéixer temporalment). No obstant això, cap d'ells són eficaços per destruir-los, però hi ha dos mètodes per derrotar definitivament una dona de blanc. Un d'ells és la sal i la crema dels ossos, un mètode normal per desfer-se dels fantasmes.
 
L'altre, utilitzat per Sam i Dean Winchester en un dels seus casos , portava la dona de blanc que estaven lluitant a la casa on ella va ofegar als seus fills. Ella tenia por d'enfrontar als seus esperits i mai va ser a "casa". Els esperits dels nens la dominen a ella i l'arrosseguen a l'altra vida.

As any other ghost, they are weak to iron (being hit by a weapon or thing made of iron can make them dissapear briefly), and salt (which can be used to stop them temporarily and protection circles). However, none of them are effective to destroy them, but there are two methods to defeat permanently a Woman in White. One of them is salting and burning the bones, a normal method to get rid of ghosts.

The other one, used by Sam and Dean Winchester in one of their cases, was bringing the Woman in White they were fighting to the house where she drowned her children. She was afraid to confront their spirits and never went 'home'. The children's spirits overpower her and drag her back to the afterlife.
